Nalati: stay from evening into first light

After the Duku Highway, keep the evening for Nalati. Staying inside the scenic area gives you time beyond the busiest daytime visits: photographs, walks, light hikes or an arranged horse ride, a gentle run or picnic, then sunset and stars. Wake with the grassland still around you.

Days 4–5 · Two calendar days, one night

Sayram Lake: another chance for the light

Give Sayram Lake time across two days, with one night beside the water. If showers or cloud arrive, pause in the RV and return to the lakeshore as the light changes. The extra night gives you more chances for photographs, a lake circuit and unhurried camping. Clear skies and outdoor activities still depend on the weather.

Durations are approximate. Daylight and night-sky experiences vary with date and weather. Vehicle reservations, scenic access, campsites, flights and trains are confirmed before booking. RV stops and camping use permitted or designated areas. Sightseeing and transfer windows can overlap and should not simply be added into a daily total. Duku Highway travel depends on seasonal opening.

Sightseeing & experience

Visit Dushanzi Grand Canyon for around 2 hours, then cross the northern Duku Highway with viewpoint stops. The proposed summer schedule reaches Nalati around 19:00 using the arranged RV entry. Leave around 4 hours for River Valley Grassland, sunset and stars, with nightfall around 23:00 on suitable long-day dates. Stay inside the scenic area overnight.

Enter Sayram Lake by RV for the arranged lake circuit, including a stop at Swan Lake. A long-day summer schedule allows around 8–10 hours from a midday arrival into the evening, with sunset and, when skies are clear, stargazing and the Milky Way.

Sightseeing & experience

Watch for sunrise lighting the mountains. Continue the arranged lake circuit to Songshutou, where you can climb for a lake panorama, Kele Yongzhu (Bubbling Springs) and Tian’e Leshui, with around 4–5 hours for a deeper visit. In the afternoon, stop for photographs at Guozigou Bridge and visit a Uyghur courtyard home in Kazanqi, allowing around 2–3 hours for the cultural visit.
