• Kashgar → Kuqa (direct flight, D4):​ A morning flight from Kashgar to Kuqa — about 1.5 hours instead of a full day driving across the Taklamakan Desert. A business van meets you at the airport, you check into your hotel, and by the afternoon you're already exploring the Tianshan Grand Canyon or the Shaya Poplar Forest. Without this flight, you'd spend 8-10 hours on a desert highway with nothing but sand.
• Kuqa → Yining (direct flight, D7):​ A morning flight from Kuqa to Yining — about 1.5 hours instead of 12 hours of mountain driving through the Duku Highway (or two days of winding roads). A business van meets you at the airport, and by the afternoon you're already walking through Yining's colorful Six-Star Street and Kazanqi Folk Village. This flight alone saves you a full day of driving.
• Yining → Urumqi (high-speed rail, D10):​ After a full VIP loop of Sayram Lake, you take the high-speed rail from Yining to Urumqi — about 5 hours instead of 6+ hours on the highway. You arrive in Urumqi in the evening, check into your hotel, and have the next day free for Tianchi Lake or the Xinjiang Museum.
• What all three transport legs have in common:​ Depart in the morning or early afternoon, arrive by evening, and your time is used at the destination — not wasted on a highway. The remaining days are all short business-van drives between scenic spots, none exceeding 3 hours. No day is spent fully in a vehicle.

• Kashgar (D1-D3):​ The living Silk Road city — the Old City labyrinth, the Id Kah Mosque, the Apak Hoja Mausoleum (Fragrant Concubine's Tomb), and the century-old teahouse. Two full days to explore at your own pace, no rushing.
• Pamir Plateau (D3):​ The Karakoram Highway, Muztagh Ata glacier (7,546m), Karakul Lake's mirror reflection, and White Sand Lake's turquoise water. All in one day from Kashgar and back — no overnight at high altitude needed.
• Kuqa (D4-D6):​ Three consecutive nights, three full days — the Shaya Poplar Forest (golden in autumn), the Taklamakan Desert, the red sandstone Tianshan Mystic Grand Canyon, the Kuqa Royal Palace, and the Grand Mosque. The poplar forest is at its peak in early November. You can even go back to the hotel for a rest in the middle of the day.
• Kuerdunin (D8-D9):​ Spruce forests and snow mountains — VIP access, no shuttle queues. You sleep inside the scenic area in a wooden log cabin, the only way to experience sunrise and sunset inside this pristine forest park.
• Sayram Lake (D9-D10):​ Xinjiang's most beautiful alpine lake, full 90km VIP loop — Swan Lake, Songshutou, Kelayongzhu. Stay at the east gate hotel, enjoy sunset and sunrise over the lake.
